Experiential day trip to Imofossen
If you want a trip with wonderful nature experiences, exciting hiking and a riverboat trip on Norway's finest river, this could be something for you!
This tour is the ultimate day trip to experience the highlights of Reisa National Park in one day. The further into the National Park we travel by riverboat, the wilder the nature becomes. Here you can experience up close the "canyon" of steep mountain sides, spectacular waterfalls, wild animals and green lush nature that provide memories for a lifetime.
We will pass well-known landmarks such as Sieimma kongen (Big Pine), rock carvings and Mollisfossen. If desired, we set aside time for a stop at these sights. We start the hike to Imofossen from Nausti. The trip takes about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. The hike is an experience in itself with partially challenging terrain on a well-prepared trail. Arriving at Imofossen, we enjoy the sight and experience of the magnificent waterfalls that tumble into a pothole! At the campfire we make coffee and eat food before finishing and starting back. On the trip down the river, we set aside time for one stop at the mighty Mollisfossen!
This trip has a minimum price of NOK 5,700. If you are an adult and one child traveling alone, all must be booked as adults.
In the event of changes in water levels, the trip may be rebooked or canceled at short notice.
We start the exciting riverboat trip into the Reisa National Park in "Dronningstøa", which is located past Saraelv, at the very end of the road in Reisadalen. Here you can also find "Ovi Raishiin - Visitor Point Reisadalen", which is recommended to be visited before or after the river boat trip.
At the start of the tour in Saraelv (departure river boat) and the start of the walk in Nausti, there is an outdoor toilet that can be used. The hike to Imofossen requires good physical fitness and good shoes.
We strongly recommend that you wear warm and windproof clothing on the riverboat. A hat with a mosquito net can also come in handy if it is during the mosquito season. It is also a good idea to bring a hat and gloves/mitts.
Bring your own food and drink. Remember to bring drinking water/water bottle.
Life jackets and rain ponchos are of course included. Before departure, there is also a mandatory security review.
