Explore magical Reisa National Park

Packrafting in Norway's finest salmon river
Do you want to explore Reisa National Park at your own pace and on your own? Welcome to 90 km of fantastic arctic river scenery surrounded by beautiful nature.

Bathing
The Reisaelva has both quiet whims, rugged rapids and wild wildlife. The large salmon wake and jump, while you paddle in the midnight sun to the sound of distant roaring waterfalls, birds and animals. If it gets hot along the way, there are many sandy beaches that are perfect for swimming and cuddling! Along the river there are also several open cabins that can be used.

Fishing
We rent out canoes and deliver both you and the canoe(s) to the desired location along the river. Then you can paddle and fish your way down the river. If, for example, you are coming on foot from Kautokeino or via the Nordkalot route, it is perfect to have a canoe ready in Nausti or Nedrefoss. Then you can paddle down the rest of the river. Whatever the need – we'll fix it!

We recommend some prior knowledge of canoeing. In addition, we go through a necessary safety instruction before renting a canoe. We provide tips and recommendations on which rapids you should avoid and where you should disembark to hire/carry a canoe. If there is high water (max 2.5 metres), we do not rent out canoes. This is for safety reasons as we know that the dangers of paddling on your own in the Reisaelva can be underestimated. We don't want that.
